Hydro Excavation & Vactor Trucks

About the service
Riddco operates Vactor trucks for safe, non-destructive hydro excavation throughout Central Washington. Hydro excavation is the safest method for exposing underground utilities without risk of damage, making it essential for utility locating, potholing, and emergency response situations.
With two Vactor trucks in our fleet, we provide fast response times and reliable service for telecom, power, and municipal clients who need precise, careful excavation around existing infrastructure.
What sets our hydro excavation apart:
- Two Vactor trucks in fleet
- Safe, non-destructive utility exposure
- Emergency response capability
- Potholing and utility locating
- Available for subcontract work
Common applications
- Utility potholing and daylighting before excavation or drilling
- Emergency utility response when a line is struck or compromised
- Safe excavation around live power, fiber, and gas lines
- Cold-weather excavation when ground conditions prevent mechanical digging
- Slot trenching for shallow utility installations
- Debris and slurry removal from confined or sensitive sites
How hydro excavation works
Our Vactor trucks use pressurized water to loosen soil, then a powerful vacuum system lifts the spoil into a debris tank for off-site disposal. The water-and-vacuum method exposes underground utilities without the risk of strike damage that comes with mechanical digging, making it the safest option for work around live infrastructure.
